LIVE ROOM & VOCAL BOOTH
What we offer
Full audio productions
We will help you with planning and pre-production and take care of recording, edit and mix. The studio is our preferred recording location, but we also have a mobile recording solution in case that is needed.
Shuffling cards
Given the numerous ways musicians and producers collaborate today, we also offer our services separately. Bring your own project and record vocals with us, send your files and we will mix for you or bring your own engineer/producer and we will get you set up and act as house-tech.
Write or rehearse
The studio is made for music. Whether you’re writing symphonic music, pop-ballads or avantgarde jazz or need a good rehearsal studio for the weekend, this space lends itself to all of it.

The Idea
What kind of environment do you need to be creative?
After decades of writing, composing and producing music we wanted to create a space that fits our needs as well as our clients’. A place you can connect to.
From the beginning our focus was centred around; Balanced and controlled room acoustics, coffee and a bed, the best equipment, daylight and a pleasant atmosphere.
The Process
We stumbled upon the renovation of and old parish house just north of Frankfurt and luckily it was possible for us to join and tailor one of the floors as we imagined.
Renovations are adventures. Old houses too.
The old wooden structures and the lack of straight walls turned out to be a big advantage when we started to meet with the acousticians and do measurements. Obviously the rooms still needed a lot of treatment but the frame seemed better than expected.
Aesthetically we tried to stay true to the old building and practically as well as technically we wanted open and flexible solutions.
After more than a year of building, changing, fixing a water leak and generally shaping the space together with Ingo Weissmantel and Luiz Augusto Alvim (freifeld) we landed the project.

The Result
We set out to answer the question “What kind of environment do you need to be creative?” and we ended up creating and opening a studio space in an old parish house just north of Frankfurt.
The studio has a big live room with a studio desk and a smaller booth for isolated recordings. Microphones, outboard, speakers and interfaces are carefully chosen to meet our standard and the general “open solution” and connectivity - in and out of the system - makes it easy to integrate external solutions or work with hybrid a setup.
Please contact us, if you want a full equipment list or measurement data from the rooms.
We love this space. It’s calm.
Heaps of daylight and you can see far.
We have been bending our own ideas to respect this old and beautiful building, and the compromises on the way have resulted in funny details and unique solutions.
In other words; a new composition.
So here we are. Welcome.
